Service Description

Create & Collage is a casual session to encourage playful creativity and for participants to explore their own style with mixed media and collage. Each session will have a theme or focus but all sessions will encourage playful experimentation and the development of your own approach to art making. Many materials provided (texture, collage and recycled items, paper, some paints) however, please bring any appropriate works in progress that you may want to continue working on. Basic paper provided but you may prefer to bring or purchase a canvas board from the art shop (between$4-$10). Given the adaptability of college, this session is an open one, no experience is necessary, just a willingness to play and create. Ideal for anyone who would appreciate some creative connection and more experienced artists may appreciate the opportunity to explore without expectation. All that's needed is the willingness to play and experiment. The main focus is on experimentation, rather than artwork resolution. You can bring a work in progress, or start from scratch. Many materials are provided, but if you want to use canvas rather than paper, you will need to bring your own or purchase from the art shop at Art & Alchemy. A selection of varied materials will be provided at each session, but feel free to bring your own if you are working with a particular medium or colour scheme or something similar. Participants are aso always welcome to bring items to donate to the creative pile of collage materials such as: - old cards, postcards, (not private letters, magazines, advertisements, newspaper, wrapping paper, play cards, scrapbooking materials, other light paper materials such as tissue paper...etc. This would be very helpful in keeping our materials varied, and recycled.
