Sunday 16th August 10.30am-3.30pm with 45mins for lunch Open session - beginners to advanced will benefit from this session Teacher: Gabby Willmott Studying and exploring portraiture: “I see you”: an “Intensive Care” unit. Sketching, painting, creative exploration, mindfulness, meditation, and connecting with others. Seeing ourselves and each other through exploring art and artmaking experiences- studying portraiture. --- Gabby is an experienced artist who combines drawing technique instruction with the opportunity to explore and play to help you find your own drawing style and approach. Gabby's gentle and encouraging approach to creativity and drawing facilitates an engaging and enlivening approach to drawing. She also incorporates mindfulness and meditation into her practice and every class, sharing and demonstrating how this can be beneficial to the creative process and the process of focusing on the process. This class is appropriate for wherever you are in your drawing process; whether it’s your first time drawing, or if you have experience and want to develop your style, Gabby will meet you there. Participants are required to provide basic materials so that you can explore using them in class, and then continue your drawing practice at home. LUNCH There will be a lunch period of 45mins but lunch is NOT provided. Please bring lunch or plan to order lunch from the cafe over the road (there will not be time to travel elsewhere). You can pre-order your lunch before the session starts, details will be provided when booking to help you prepare. PLEASE NOTE - All art courses & classes are offered subject to minimum numbers of enrollments. - If this class has sold out, please email us about being placed on a waiting list at art@artandalchemygallery.com DISCOUNT There are three drawing classes being offered this term: Drawing Nature, Drawing Still Life, Drawing Ourselves. You can book into one, or more of these classes. If you book into more than one class at the same time, you will receive an automatic $5 discount per class booked at checkout. MATERIALS LIST If you have questions, please contact the gallery. The gallery does have some materials for sale. - A4 cartridge paper pad or diary about 20 sheets - Any kind of charcoal- willow or compressed - Small cloth or paper towel for wiping hands or clean up - Any kind of eraser - Black artliner pen - 2b graphite pencil - Sharpener Highly Recommended - 12 pack of oil pastels - Paper blending stick
