SPECIAL TERM 3 ONLY PRICE Sunday 2nd August 10.30am-3.30pm with 45mins for lunch Open session - beginners to advanced will benefit from this session Teacher: Gabby Willmott Using a series of Still life drawing exercises, participants will learn new techniques that teach us to view things differently and be present to ourselves and our surroundings. -- Gabby is an experienced artist who combines drawing technique instruction with the opportunity to explore and play to help you find your own drawing style and approach. Gabby's gentle and encouraging approach to creativity and drawing facilitates an engaging and enlivening approach to drawing. She also incorporates mindfulness and meditation into her practice and every class, sharing and demonstrating how this can be beneficial to the creative process and the process of focusing on the process. This class is appropriate for wherever you are in your drawing process; whether it’s your first time drawing, or if you have experience and want to develop your style, Gabby will meet you there. Participants are required to provide basic materials so that you can explore using them in class, and then continue your drawing practice at home. MATERIALS LIST If you have questions, please contact the gallery. Drawing Packs suitable for this class can be purchased from the gallery for between $25-$30 - A4 cartridge paper pad or diary about 20 sheets - Any kind of charcoal- willow or compressed - Small cloth or paper towel for wiping hands or clean up - Any kind of eraser - Black artliner pen - 2b graphite pencil - Sharpener Highly Recommended - 12 pack of oil pastels - Paper blending stick There will be a lunch period of 45mins but lunch is NOT provided. Please bring lunch or plan to order lunch from the cafe over the road (there will not really be time to travel elsewhere). You may like to bring appropriate gear for the weather of the day so you can go for a short walk during lunch. There is a walk opposite the gallery.
