General Information
As a gallery artist, the artist pays a monthly membership fee, and then a commission is taken by the gallery when an item is sold (20% on original art which includes jewellery, clothing, lino print, 10% on prints/cards).
The standard monthly membership fee may vary slightly depending on the amount of work held by the gallery. This is determined and offered by the gallery director.
We do not hire out a defined amount of space within the gallery, rather we curate a gallery space that is interesting and features a variety of artists and mediums. We try group each individual artists work whenever possible.
The director has final say over the curation of the gallery space.
The following aspects are key considerations when selecting new gallery artists:
* Highlighting Victorian based artists, with a particular focus on those local to the gallery
* Providing a mixture of mediums and styles within the gallery
* Encouraging artist who are already or are interested in becoming part of the wider arts community in the hills
* The current aviliable space in the gallery
We review and accept emerging, mid-career and established artist.
Please not that an application does not guarantee you will be successful. We will be touch with our response.
