New artworks installed at the gallery
New artworks at the gallery, a new exhibition & art classes
From Karly, Art & Alchemy Gallery Director:
This week we had quite a few changes around the gallery with a number of new pieces being bought in and hung. You can see some of the new pieces above. We also installed Mary McCowan’s exhibition Gathered: A Collection of Scrolls. There is a short video of the installation process here and then there is one of the completed process here. We are looking forward to Sunday and the rest of the month that the exhibition will be open for (until the 22nd Nov). You are invited to an opening event this Sunday on the 18th of October from 2.30 to 4.30pm. This will be a time to gather with others in our beautiful gallery spaces and hear from the artist about her work.
Open Exhibition Call Out to anyone who has
attended classes in 2026
A call out / reminder to anyone who has attended any class at Art & Alchemy Gallery (or Kapi) in 2026 can apply for our 2026 Student Exhibition. You can apply here (if you aren't sure of all the details, that's ok, apply with what you do know, we'll check them with you / help you out, before anything is printed). It's going to be a great opportunity to meet up with other people involved in the gallery and who has attended classes and to see what people have been creating.
Make sure to check the key dates: Applications are due by Friday 13th Nov.
You can watch a call out video here.
