On Sunday we had a lovely time celebrating the opening of Mary’s exhibition Gathered. Mary spoke briefly about her work and the process of getting to this point and her connection with the medium of scrolls. Many spoke with her afterwards, finding out more about her creative process and hearing more of her experience for this deeply personal exhibition.

Mary is offering a workshop to explore further her approach to art and how she engages with materials on Sunday Nov 15th if you are interested in her intuitive art process. No experience needed, just an openness to explore and play.

We are moving into the later months of the year, when it simultaneously feels like so much is happening while not much seems to really get done! We still have some great classes coming up on Saturdays and Sundays if you would like a creative pause, inspiration, or connection.

I wanted to highlight our upcoming Friday Evening Social on Nov 6th with Rain painting Kintsugi Tea Cups. This will be a fun, creative session that anyone can join, no experience needed! Just a great way to finish the week.

We are also continuing with our Friday and Sunday Creative Community Sessions. If you have a project you are working on, you can BYO but the other option is to purchase a Studio Pack. You’ll get access to materials, an overview of techniques, some examples and suggestions and then you will have the freedom to explore and create whatever you like! It’s fun, pressure free, creative play that is suitable for any ages 10+ (10-14 with an adult). A short video on can be found on instragram or YouTube about these sessions.

We hope to see you, and many others, in the gallery as the weather warms up and everyone starts to re-emerge outside!

Open Exhibition Call Out to anyone who has

attended classes in 2026

A call out / reminder to anyone who has attended any class at Art & Alchemy Gallery (or Kapi) in 2026 can apply for our 2026 Student Exhibition. You can apply here (if you aren't sure of all the details, that's ok, apply with what you do know, we'll check them with you / help you out, before anything is printed). It's going to be a great opportunity to meet up with other people involved in the gallery and who has attended classes and to see what people have been creating.

Make sure to check the key dates: Applications are due by Friday 13th Nov.
